48 HOURS IN VEGAS (NO KIDS!)

Happy Friday!

Finally getting around to posting about our quick 48 hour trip to Vegas! My mom came into town for a week and since it was my birthday, the husband and I decided to take a trip to Vegas, just the two of us!
The first and last time we came to Vegas was in 2018 and we had the kids with us. We just did a short 24 hour trip and saw a lot during those 24 hours. Vegas is definitely do-able in a 24-48 hour period. I will say, the only thing we did not get to do is attend a show.

We stayed at the Palazzo (Venetian) and it was so nice! I hands down recommend staying there. We  hopped around to other hotels for food and casinos and I was so glad we didn't book anywhere else. We got a king suite and it was glorious!!!! So spacious, and had a nice view of the golf course/back part of the strip. There was also a Starbucks inside (win!).

Day one:

Our first night we checked in at the hotel and immediately went out and about. We went to Black Tap for their famous cake shakes and food. Cake shake was really good - I had the vegan black/white shake and I also had the black tap burger salad. Both were great.

Tip- Ask to sit outside, it is worth the wait. You will have a pretty view of "Venice".

We grabbed a plain hot dog (no pic) and it was really good.

After dinner, we headed to the high roller!

The high roller reminds me of the London eye - which we did not get to do in London because it was down when we went. So I definitely wanted to do this in Vegas. They have plenty of options as far as ticket pricing - day time, night time, happy hour. We chose to do the happy hour and loved it! The ride for any ticket is 30 minutes. So for the happy hour, you get unlimited drinks in that 30 minute ride. If you've done Vegas before, you know the drinks can be pricey. The happy hour tickets were $60 each so we thought it was a good deal considering your drinks were included.

The view is so pretty! I will say.... if you plan to do the happy hour, try not to drink prior. Our bartender made our drinks pretty strong so just keep that in mind! You can also take a drink to go.

After the high roller, we had reservations at I Love Sugar for their candy martini bar. It's located under the high roller, at the LINQ.

I got the sour bear martini - so good! but also so sweet!!!!

Day two:

We started off with breakfast at Hash House a Go Go. Super popular and crowded. Be prepared to wait at least 45 mins to an hour. We actually just ordered online and ate at a local table. The food was great and definitely up to the hype. I got the griddled French toast, and Frankie got the classic buttermilk flapjack - both are HUGE and can definitely be shared. The French toast alone had three pieces.

After breakfast we did some shopping, picture taking, and more eating, lol.

We had lunch at PAMPAS - a Brazilian steakhouse. So good! Definitely recommend. They bring you food, non stop, and carve all meats at your table. (Every man's dream, ha)

Around Caesars hotel they have this little margarita + mojito hut. Add this to your places to stop! The drinks were really good. I had the maliberry (malibu) and Frankie had the mojito. Both were 10/10 good!

We stopped at Milk bar for cookies, and district: donuts, brews (both inside the Cosmopolitan) for their famous crème Brule cinnamon roll, and a pork belly slider.

We headed back to the room to change, and headed to dinner at "Trustworthy Brewery" inside the Palazzo.

We were still stuffed from PAMPAS, so we just did small appetizers.

dress | bag | sandals
Sandals were much needed after walking 10 miles that day.

Afterwards we just hit the casinos for a bit and prepped to wake up early the next day for travels back to Texas.

What are some fun things you have to do when you go to Vegas?
